A very good point except for a few problems.
We are dependent on oil period. We love our SUVs. We can´t just drill our way out of the situation. If we opened ANWR today we wouldn´t see a penny from it for at least 10 years. By that time we could have spent the time and money on alternatives, which is happening anyway. It´s not the eighties anymore.
