the first part is wrong you should just play the open E man no need to those Fs.

@cadmusbane yes but the tuning of the guitar is drop d. so logically you can easily use one string lower

@ShadowRising00 The song is played with the E as the lowest string, he was using the 2nd one down on his 6 string, my conclusion is only logical.
