What did you use to learn Sanskrit?
My heart aches for me to know this language.
Please:)

@elvein1 I have a nice stash of learn Sanskrit books - about half of them in English. The other good ones are written in Thai, Indonesian and Hindi. Many students of Sanskrit in other places have passed on different Sanskrit learning materials that they've picked up from Universities around the world.

Oh wow..ure such a role model! I live in Thailand and I'm Indian too..Not half Aussie thou..but we study in international school so English is almost native to us. My grandfather spoke 9 languages...Sadly I never had a chance to learn much from him while he was alive...but he is still my encouragement. :)
I'm learning my 6th language (Spanish) now and I think I should consider adding Burmese to the the list as we also have a Burmese worker at home.

@AnanyaVilas That's brilliant. Burmese shouldn't be too hard for you - the same base sound system as Indian languages and the grammar is amazingly simple and logical. If you go to Chula bookstore, you will find a great book in Thai - about A4 size, yellow / creamy coloured cover with red writing ภาษาพม่า. One of the best books I've found so far to learn Burmese. Would be great to chat when I'm in town.
