The Asrock Ionstar has the ability to be overclocked from 1.6ghz to 2.1Ghz within seconds, this is done via the bios and is simply a case of selecting the option you want.

  • is it safe overclocking ?

    i have a Asrock ion 3D 152D

    2.1GHz

speed 600 if i remember it

    Turbo boost Enable

i have use the same way as you in the bios

is it safe and turn the fans on if it become to hot ?

  • dont use that feature, you have just to rise the vcore one step to 1,27volts to reach the same speed of 175 FSB. The higher your vcore, the shorter your lifecycle will be.

  • 2.1 MAX??

  • @weavercomputers I can vouch for this. I also overclocked an AMD from 1.6 to 2.0+ without a single crash and temps are very stable. The ASrock OC feature is awesome and very easy to use.

  • what will happen when i overcloack it? it will eat more energy/money xD + if ihave STUPID computer like -

1.6ghz, 2gb ram, ati readon 2400 hd pro, intel pentium? will it die or something? oO

  • Thanks for this video I should be receiving mine today but I also ordered a 500GB 7200rpm hard drive with 16mb cache it should make things run much smoother then a 5400rpm and 8mb cache. Also for cobalt961 it should not void warranty when you overclock that's what that system is made to do it would void if you try to go beyond their limits. I will be running dualboot windows 7 and of course my favorite linux mint :-)

  • do you have a video of call of duty 4 being played on this overclocked system, how much better is performance? Can you run the specs on max in 1024x769 or specs under max but at 1080p???

Also does overclocking void the warranty?

    Many thanks in advance

  • sorry diddnt see this video, very usefull thanks for the upload :)

  • Awesome. Thanks for posting this video. Do you have any comments on the stability of the system after overclocking; are there any associated drawbacks?
