HURT CHAPTER 26

MEG'S POV
Liz threw her head back and laughed and crossed her legs at the ankle. I shook my head and drank from my water bottle in my hand my cheeks burning. Carolina and Liz had been tossing around inappropriate jokes since we got to Carolina's house. Sara's face matched the fabric of the pool chair we I was sitting on since most of the jokes were pointed at her. "You wrapped it up right?" Carolina asked looking at her. We'd been talking about this since we were at the restaurant but Liz and Caro seemed to be enjoying torturing the poor girl. Sara let out a whine and looked away towards the giant pool and across to the hanging trees. "Guys can we talk about something else?" I asked trying to save her. Sara gave me a thankful look and we both turned to look at Carolina and Liz. The two of them were looking at each other when Carolina suddenly smirked at looked at me. Her green eyes full of merriment and the smile on her lips matched the one her niece had when we walked into the kids section at Barney's New York. "Fine so how's Jord?" Liz asked. "He's good." I said and she shook her head. My eyes widened and my cheeks burned. Liz and Carolina busted out in wiggling around in chairs. "God her face was priceless." Carolina said calming down. "But seriously." She added. "I don't see how that's any of your business." I said and they stared at each other again. Carolina turned to look at me her nose was wrinkled up and she shook her head. "So that's a no." she said. "Weird, tall guys are usually really good." Liz added and Carolina nodded. "Yeah that's-" "I never said that." I argued. "Ah but it was implied." Liz said. "no it-" "Guys it's none of your business if it's good or not." Sara said. "Of course it is, it makes for good small talk." Carolina said picking an invisible piece of lint from her shorts. "And how would you feel if I randomly asked you about your sex life?" I snapped and her smile widened. "Great." she said and Liz and Sara rolled their eyes. "oh really?" I asked trying to see if my questions would faze her. "Would you like me to elaborate?" she asked tilting her head. "No!" Liz and Sara shouted in unison. "Trust us you don't want to know!" Sara said. "Really it's disgusting." Liz said and Carolina laughed and got up. "Don't try to turn my little game around on me it'll never work." She said glancing down at me.
CAROLINA'S POV
I walked back into my house and set my glass of wine down in the sink. The girls filed in after me and I turned to look at them. "Now what?" I asked looking at all of them. Liz shrugged and Sara looked back outside. 'Which way is the bathroom?" Megan asked. "Third door to your left." I said pointing with my chin. She walked out and I turned back to the girls. "What the hell is that?" Liz hissed and I raised my eye brow. "What?" I asked turning around to see if there was something out of the ordinary around. 'Her?" I asked pointing in the direction in which Megan had left. Liz shook her head and moved the rest of my blazer down exposing my shoulder. My hand shot to it to hid the bruise. "nothing I really did fall this time."I answered. "Carolina-" she started but just then the small buzzing sound start announcing that someone was at the gate. I walked over to the video phone to see Taylor's face. "Hey babe I left my key in my pants from yesterday." He said and I buzzed him in. I turned to see Liz and Sara collecting their things. "Where are you going?" I asked. "You are leaving we are going to talk about this now." Liz said putting an emphasize on the "now". "But-" "now!"
