I really wanted to entertain a conspiracy theory here. I really, really did. But I can't. I'm very familiar with the case, and I want to call out some gross misconceptions here.

1. Money on the night table: Doesn't mean anything.

2. Why did Karla get a sweet deal? It's called "plea bargaining", they offered her the deal prior to discovering the tapes [otherwise they wouldn't need her testimony] because they cared more about locking Bernardo up.

(There strongest evidence they had against Bernardo was Karla's testimony)

Who in the world believes this supposed witness??

I am personally sure that Bernardo didn't kill these girls. Karla on the other hand is more likely the killer. Another theory is that unidentified persons were involved in the killings.

@LOLFIELDANDLOVE everyone is programmed to kill. some people are mentally weak and mimic their media programming. others are programmed by an organization, either hidden or open. those programmed by other people in organizations, do what they are programmed to do. some people take programming from both media and organizations and go off on their own. i agree with most of these vids. most are involved in some kind of child porn/sex/snuff to cater to wealthy peoples desires. they take blame.

The media isn't allowed to report on the trial until it's finished. This is important for two reasons. The first is obviously privacy. They also don't want potential jurors to be biased. This is how it works in Canada. The trial was not secret. All trials are open to the public and only "preliminary hearings" are done in secret because the facts of the case are discussed prior to bringing them into court

This is where Karla comes in. She would testify against him and that would be enough to lock him up. The police questioned him on various occasions but since he's a sociopath and very charming, their suspicions were thwarted.

6. There's nothing suspicious or satanic about the publication ban. When there's a sensational trial [pretty big allegations here... murder, that is], young offender, or young victim (all 3 victims were <18 years old) there is a publication ban.

4. The Burlington cemetery and that road? Also, a cool idea. Burlington isn't that far away and it seems to be a coincidence. Or maybe these families wanted to bury them together. Besides, you have to go through Burlington to get to St. Catherines from Toronto/Scarborough

5. Police didn't cover anything up. They needed to build a case against him before taking him to court. They knew it was him but they needed solid evidence.

An astounding aspect of the case is the reported destruction of the videotapes of the murders. This was done allegedly at the request of the families of the victims, but is it not a criminal act to destroy evidence of a crime? It is patently inane to assume that all possible ramifications and interpretations of the crimes are complete. For instance, what if at some point a suggestion should arise that others were involved in them? Pertinent evidence might have been destroyed. Strange indeed.
