This is a good technique to preserve most green herbs by freezing in individual Ice Cubes.
All you need to do is to finely chop your herbs and then add them to an ice cube tray with a little water so the water just covers the herbs.
Then simply freeze it and keep in the freezer until needed.
Then just pop out as many herb cubes as required and add to your food.

  • Just a tip, to make chopping easier freeze the leaves in a bag and they become brittle so all you have to do is crush them in your hands. Great vid

  • and when they are frozen you can remove them from the ice cube trays and place them in a plastic bag to store in the freezer and use your tray for some more parsley or other herbs. Great Idea! I will try it.

  • Yes, excellent tip. Growing spicy oregano and some basil this season, but have chives and parsley now that I need to do that to. The chives have already flowered, so may be too late on that...... I never thought I liked parsley, esp. in restaurants, but fresh, so good, I go out to the herb garden and just pick and eat!

  • Excellent tip - I'll do that.

  • Thanks for that, what a good idea i'll be doing that with mine :D
