Could they really be that naive or ignorant? I know that the hypnosis starts with the audience even before people go up on stage so that could be a reason. I also believe this and other hypnotists get people to perform against there will by having audience perform a suggestibility test, then bringing them up on stage and putting them under. I think that's immoral and unethical.

I agree. Most stage hypnosis shows are about getting people to make fools of themselves by performing embarrassing, humiliating and degrading acts. This is done solely to entertain an audience. From the shrieks and howls of laughter coming from the audience, it's obvious they are highly entertained. What I don't understand completely is why people are so willing to volunteer especially for an "R" rated show.
