Barbaro - Preakness Superhorse Segment - Tribute

This is a beautiful segment about Barbaro that was played before the Preakness. It talks of the hope of Barbaro possibly being the next Triple Crown champion.

I thought it fitting to put it up on his Birthday and so close to the Kentucky Derby, the race that gave up so much hope.

I still miss him. :( But he inspires me daily, whenever I run.

In case you are wondering, the music in the background is from the movie "The Island" and the song is called "My Name is Lincoln." The music was then used to promote the recent "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" movie.

Makes me sad hearing all the wishing to could maybe possibly be and within seconds (as the racing world runs) all of this coming crashing down, what a waste, an amazing colt for sure. Keeping him alive with the injuries he had for so long is a controversial subject, some believing that it would go for a happy ending, others believing it was cruel, and money objective, whatever you think, everyone for the most part would agree that this was likely to be the next super horse, we'll never know.

Barbaro was far too perfect a soul to remain with we mortal humans for too long. That is why God took his reins and rode him off... now he's duking it out with Eight Belles, Ruffian, Pine, and more in the big racetrack in the sky. I salute you, Barbaro. RIP.
