@DoingMoar SPAM was a food long before the email and letter spam existed. In fact most attribute to the email and letter term getting its name FROM the Python skit, because the Vikings are 'spamming' up the conversation

@DoingMoar internet spam is called spam based on the skit, the Vikings flood out the conversation by chanting 'spam' over and over like email spam floods out your inbox, and the lady is all like "I HATE SPAM!!!" so there you go.
