Someone needs to tell DeMint that the decision is made by the White House, not the head of the TSA. So why put a hold on someone who has no affect on the outcome of DeMint's unionization concerns?

Senator DeMint, Erroll Southers has spent his entire life in intelligence and security management, and is the most qualified nominee in the history of the TSA. His predecessor was a specialist in supply management software, and prior to that the TSA head was a navy admiral with no background in airport security.
