well GM trashed their EV-1 claiming there's no market for expensive electric cars

they could have been 10 years ahead in electric car technology

btw  TESLA has no problem marketing and selling all the expensive $109,000 cars they make

It think the title is a bit deceiving. I mean what Tesla is getting is not a bailout, it's a loan that has to be payed back to the GOV.

GM gave up the opportunity to lead the way when they trashed their own EV1 vehicles... i have no sympathy for them. But Elon has the right attitude and commitment, if i were rich, i'd voluntarily go poor just so i can give all my money to this cause.
