its been relatively dry for years except for in winter which even then barely reaches a mere trickle at best in some spots...the rain water is diverted by other means now...the river should be full of life..not street runoff... thats why the sprawl exsists in the firt place!! people want to get away from the ugly ass river!! lol.
where the hell are you even from, I know its somewhere in the U.S. but come on!! you need to experience the full affect of its shittyness up close to know its not as great as it seems in media...lol. You obviously don't live anywhere near it!
Whether you want to call the LA River an eyesoar or not the LA River is a vital piece of infrastructure which is an essential need for Los Angeles. The river was lined with concrete in the 1930's by the National Guard to prevent serious flooded in the LA area because before the river was the way you see it now the waters from the mountains were torrential and would flood parts or LA. What the LA river brings to mind for me is just how big and almost uncontrolable urban sprawl is.
What's sad to me is that so few people are able to see the true beauty of these concrete channels. I dream of visiting the L.A. River someday, if I am ever able. I find your use of the music in this video propagandic. The L.A. River, as it is, is the spiritual backbone of Los Angeles, and its endless corridors allow one's imagination to attain blazing momentum. It is a surreal and romantic place.
they should put more water in it
