I have gone to Nationals with the Leilehua Drill Team (placed 3rd in Squad drill) and it wasn’t cheap, by any means, but it can be done. We had very little if any money from our school or parents (most of us came from $ struggling homes) and had to come up with money to fly 22 cadets halfway across an ocean and clear across the US. We paid for everything from our airline tickets to lodging and food. We worked our asses off for a year raising money washing cars and doing whatever we could

@Melendr3z-. It was hard but it pushed us even harder to do the best we could because WE paid for that opportunity. We planned the trip for 2 years, practiced hard and washing harder...lol…it taught us all the value of dedication and was worth the pride we felt and still feel this day for all we accomplished. @Melendr3z most of this footage is from the early 2000's and the most recent footage is from 2008 ISIS/Nationals. Drill is evolved GREATLY in these 2 short years.

what i hate is that there are so many more cadets out there who are better than all these guys and the only reason they dont go to nationals is because their unit cant afford but hey what can u do right
