  • In an attempt to highlight the void in true leadership at the time the President on the West Wing called on us to reach for the stars. How did we show our strength and "rise to master that moment"? Our country was paralyzed by fear-mongering and a total lack of vision from our real leaders. This scene chokes me up every time because it reminds me of the potential we have as a country to overcome the toughest of issues if we have the collective will to do it and the leaders to show us the way.

  • This just aired again here this morning on Bravo. This speech gets me everytime. Man is Martin Sheen good.

  • I love this speech so much.

  • This show should be "required viewing" for every President-Elect.

  • @karaoan The song was inspired by a mass shooting at a playground in San Diego in 1979. A teenage girl did the shooting. When asked why she did it, she said "I don't like Mondays".

  • such an awesome speech

  • @r5t6y12

Well one it wasn't little rock, you're pretty much retarded so I won't even comment on your previous statement....it was Oklahoma City...hell you could look up "Murrah Federal Building" and it'd show Oklahoma City....so that's just stupidity and laziness on your part.

  • ...outside of the Murrah federal building in Little Rock and the small thing at the Atlanta Olympics.

  • Actually, the funniest aspect of this situation is that though this type of thing happens outside of North America all the time I don't even remember HEARING about a situation like this happening ANYWHERE INSIDE NORTH AMERICA in the last 25 years.

  • The most brilliant 3:30 seconds in television history. Nothing is even close.

  • @faceprecious I want to change that Man is Martin Sheen great.

  • 2:30 "Ran INTO the fire. The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels tonight." I always cry at that line. My favorite moment of The West Wing. <3

btw, thanks for putting the scenes before the speech (CJ's extended press conference, Toby, Josh, and Donna, etc.).
