This is the longest improv I did on this day. The hissing sound you hear occasionally between phrases is my trying to keep the moisture in the flute from clogging up the sound producing mechanism. Ah... the trials of playing outdoors in colder weather! Still, I think this came out reasonably well, don't you? It bears repeating that Richard Maynard, a.k.a. Laughing Crow, makes the most exquisite Native American-style flutes!

  • That is a great sounding flute with a full range. I plan to take a Richard Naynard flute making work shop at Zion this year. Hope I come out with one as nice as yours.  Thanks for posting and keep up the great fluting. May have to get some electric socks.
