The problem with your 5lb. bag of bread flour from the store is it is stripped of everything that is good for you and left with all that is not good for your body. If you were going to use a grain mill for every day use, I would suggest getting a good electric grain mill like the WonderMill, it can grind about 100 pounds of flour in hour which is more than a pound and a half per minute.

It depends on which of these mills you use. The cheap mills can take forever to get enough flour. With the Wonder Junior, Country Living, and GrainMaker grain mills you can get enough flour in 3 to 5 minutes or so.

  • If you are looking to build some "guns", then this is just the machine to use! Thank God a 5 lb. bag of my bread flour only cost $3.29.

  • how long does it take to make it worth it?
