Schumer, and other elected officials, stands up against recent changes in FEMA Flood plain mappings which would force homeowners to purchase expensive flood insurance

"A flood insurance program is a tool that should be used expertly or not at all. Correctly applied, it could promote wise use of flood plains. Incorrectly applied, it could exacerbate the whole problem of flood losses. For the Federal Government to subsidize low premium disaster insurance or provide insurance in which premiums are not proportionate to risk would be to invite economic waste of great magnitude."

FEMA is expanding and drawing up their OWN new flood "areas" and demanding that the homeowners pay exorbitant fines unless they go purchase flood insurance. This govt is OUT OF CONTROL... you wanted "change" I hope you like the kind of change you are starting to see, because unless we throw these tax and spenders out in the next 2 elections this country will fall!
