Now, this is the more familiar and perhaps the most well-known of all the original Channel 4 tapes, because it included the tracks Almost Together (which obviously appeared as track 2 of BBC2's Sweet Moods), Tubular Bells, the Rocky Theme (Gonna Fly Now), Shaft, and a track repeated from BBC1's Bill Bailey entitled The Sound Of Philadelphia )TSOP). Enjoy!!!!

  • hi,yes it was. Its from channel 4,s tape 7 (almost together).

  • Was this tape used before Channel 4 launched?

  • This sounds so 1980's!

  • The album Blue Echoes by Markku Johansson which features this track (and some others familiar from BBC2 TT) really is worth getting!

  • That 1st tune rocks. It takes me back to my first real girl friend at school, who i still think about. 26 years ago, How time fly's.

  • Good tape this one and along with the 'Bruton tape' a change in sound from the first five tapes. Almost Together is a great opening track to any compilation but does anyone know anything about track 2 'Ten Four'? -would love to track down a stereo version of this :-)

  • I always thought this was Central Line!
