I have made that portage many times , its neat to see it on here...i like the one from parent to disappointment better...thanks for posting it......

farthest portage we had was 200 rods

somewhere between 200 and 400 rods.

All I remember about this portage is trying to find it from the lake...for a long time. Also, tudging over it at the end of a very long day of portaging. Wish the end wasn't so washed out. Would have liked to see the lodge again.
