Cap and Trade Ponzi Pollution Scheme
The latest strategy for organizations is to go green. Outside of the United States government adding regulations, the Corporations are trying to use a "Cap and Trade" system where they can sell pollution credits. The strategy behind being environmentally friendly is to oust the polluters where the organizations that are compliant can corner the market (Linn, 2007). This means that Wall Street traders will have a chance to earn billions of dollars off of "Cap and Trade" (Hansen, 2009). In truth instead of truly aiding the environment, this will give incentive to organizations to deforest and ruin Brazil (Hansen, 2009).
Going green will be the largest tax increase that will hit the world (Linn, 2007). This "Cap and Trade" is a Ponzi scheme for polluters between corporations. They allow Corporations to trade pollution credits with organizations that do not pollute as much (Hansen, 2009). Ergo, the companies that are greener are creating extra cash. Giving the polluters permission only if they pay, therefore this is about money, and not about cleaning up the environment (Leonard, 2011).
