One of my favorites. Whoever disliked this is a bitch.

@606revo I had both.

@captainkid1 OCS Amigas where better than the SNES and megadrive (look for lion heart, brain the lion and stardust)
However, the graphics artist Ade carless was just picked from high school so that (Zool 1) was is his second job :P and the resolution was horrible on the SNES port (228X228 compared to Amigas 320X256)
and as the SNES & MD have less RAM some huge cuts had to be made like breakable background objects
and objects for most "worlds" for gameplay depth

@mikele79 Do your homework boy, bear in mind that this game is Designed for AGA amigas that does have detailed backgrounds of 640 X 400 (Better than sonic's) and parallax scrolling means a background moving at a different speed from the playing field which you can clearly see here and the "3D" bonus stages are just nice looking sprites however Zool 2 has some bosses with real sprite scaling and and zool's program is bigger than sonic as there is much more than pointless running in loops (2MB).

I had both Amiga and Sega Genesis and I must say you have no clue what you are saying. Zool2 technically better than Sonic? LOL. It uses basic coppered background, while Sonic features parallax and has 3D bonus stages, which dont appear in any Zool. Just see some YT videos for comparison.

had this on the Amiga 1200!!! technically better than Sonic, but less known :(

Dammit, Zool was so freaking badass. I can't believe he didn't make it past 1995. )B

Weird. I was convinced back then Amiga was better then SNES or Megadrive but I notice those versions have background graphics..
Although the rest seems somewhat crisper on the Amiga version.
