Just because an audience claims ownership does not make a performer "theirs" to control as if we lived in some sort of reverse feudalistic world. While I can understand why many lesbians claimed her in the early 1990s (until Dilate in 1996), had they listened more carefully they would have understood that she was saying that she is bisexual. Is Ani responsible for that? I don't think so. And even if she was once a lesbian, we can't expect people to remain within a static identity.

it is true that she has resisted being pidgeon-holed or even labelled. but every public figure is to some extent the property of his/her audience, which necessarily seeks to create unification thru identity with its idols. and it would be bad faith indeed for anyone - least of all ani herself - to deny the sapphic currents which pervade & colour her work at least thru the mid-90s. ok & i was being facetious when i suggested she might ever support war of any kind - but then again...?

There are several tunings possible for the tenor guitar just as there are for any stringed instrument. The tuning that she uses in this song is A-D-A-D according to the April 1998 issue Guitar Player magazine and Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers' book "Rock Troubadours."

That's what the little chart on page 73 of April 1998 issue of Guitar Player magazine says. It also says that on page 175 of Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers' book "Rock Troubadours" says. Try it and see if it works.
