(November 29, 2007) The value of the dollar continues to decrease. With the mortgage mess and high oil prices, Americans are feeling the pinch. But, as the U.S economy struggles, economies and businesses worldwide are also feeling the effects. Will the Euro be the new world currency? Or will the holiday shopping season be just what the dollar needs to bounce back?

The Euro is crashing. Apart from the dollar, only the yen has ACTUALLY benefited from the credit crunch, though I don't know why. America is a huge market for Japan and I don't understand why they would want the yen to soar, and besides Japan has been in recession for forever, long before the crisis. Don't get it.

But, the currency I would buy now is the rand, with the price of gold soaring, South Africa looks like a wonderful place to make money.

Yes,it is contrary to what the "experts" are saying to the extreme. In fact, the only two world currencies(that I can think of) that have RISEN during this credit crisis were JPY and USD , the Japanese Yen and the United States Dollar, both I don't know why. Japan has been in a recession forever and the US is also now in a recession and has truly collapsed by all indicators. Makes no sense, but I guess after cashing in on the collapse of the rand, the peso and the ruble, and the euro buy USD/JPY

Yes the rise of the dollar is the exact opposite of what Doomsdayers like Peter Schiff, Jim Rogers and Gerald Celente have been predictiing.

Now these alarmists are saying....we were wrong about the date....but it will still happen.
