Bailey trying to walk

This is a really difficult video to watch as Bailey is such a vibrant, active dog despite her age. She's 15 yrs. old and has neurological problems with her hind end and it's only getting worse. I have her on pain meds which really helped the first 2 days she took them, but now it seems the pain meds aren't enough. Bailey has been with our family since 1999 and was 4-5 yrs. old at that time.

@pspman301 Bailey passed away July 21st. I had to finally have to put her to sleep because just overnight she grew gravely ill and couldn't hold her head up. There was no life in her eyes anymore. I stayed with her through her passing and have her ashes. She is still very much missed and will always have a special place in my heart. We found she had congestive heart failure which was the cause of her sudden turn for the worst despite the medications.

She can barely even move now like in the video, and I've since learned she has congestive heart failure. But she's on pain and heart meds, doing ok most days, so I will care for her as long as it's necessary. She is so much a part of this family :)

It really is. She is such a wonderful dog and to see her like this crushes me. I don't want to have to make the ultimate decision, but if the pain persists I don't know what else can be done. It makes me very, very sad as she's just fine otherwise, alert, eats well, etc. It's just not fair.

Oh my...it's so sad to see Bailey like this. I can imagine how you feel seeing her in this condition :(
