Birmingham No:2 Corps, since gone. Recalling the days when Birmingham had many Corps, and many famous brass bands, including Sparkhill - Aston - Birmingham Temple - Small Heath and of course Hockley. Birmingham Citadel to this day remains one of the best Corps Bands in the Army

  • Remember this tune been played when commissioned as a bandsmen....(before the moon walk)...., really love the old tunes.

  • @doowtob There's nothing quite like them, especially for stirring the emotions.

  • what is the name of this tune?

  • @mackiex The tune is called Nottingham - We associate the words 'Take my Life & Let it Be'

  • Anybody know of any recordings anywhere of Birmingham Sparkhill Band, at one time rated as one of the most outstanding bands in the SA. Regularly broadcast.
