To me, the VS comp sounded just like the original Dynacomp with the tone control off. Great pedal!

Awesome vid. Wampler Ego needs to be included in any serious comp shootout IMHO though. A who's who of Nashville greats use the Ego, Paisley, etc.

I have to also give props to VS...I have owned the H2O v2 for a couple of years now, as my main chorus and delay pedal. You won't find a warmer, richer analog chorus, or delay. If you're into sterile sound, don't buy a visual sound pedal.

The MXR script logo was the loudest in settings so it gave the impression that its more open sounding.

All the Visual Sound pedals are much better than demos on Youtube. Go to Guitar Center or local shop and try them out .

now that's a shootout!
But you didn't give the Comp 66 a chance.. it was set with a lower volume which makes is subjectively worse sounding than it's louder counterpart.

What about some Analogman pedals?
DickyIckyIcky 2 years ago
Thanks for your question.
As were all the testing and preparations in making this series of videos, every pedal had a chance o be a part of the competition. Analogman pedals did not make the final cut of pedals. Though it is assumed there was no fairness in this process, what most don't know is it took almost 3 months to go through all the pedals to get the final ones.
