@Davieboii1. Thanks for that. I am even more convinced that there is no god now.
Like most simple theologians his best argument that there is a god is that science doesn't know everything. He seems to think that because science can't prove certain things about the speed of light then god must exist.
Total and utter bullshit. Almost as much as is in the bible.

@Davieboii1 Jesus was crucified to keep a class system in place that represented early capitalism which he clearly opposed with great vehemence. Historically the Pharisees, Sadducees and Rome all saw him as a serious political threat to the status que. Irrational additions to the scriptures i.e. miracles and rising from the dead, have reduced Jesus’ greater political message to a fable. From this perspective you have to ask yourself, who really was Jesus?

@Davieboii1 I don't doubt for one minute Jesus existed, he appears in historical documents many times, but Jesus was born into an empire that was struggling under Roman rule, he was not divine, just a man with an extreme anti establishment ideology and that ideology has been totally misrepresented and made into a passive fairy tale.

@Davieboii1 The idea of hell only exists in the mind as fear to prevent the theist group from disintegration, the last stand to a crumbling theology. All theist belief systems are based upon fear of the unknown. If the metaphor of hell didn’t exist countless christians would have turned their back on christianity decades ago, it is an excellent example of coercive persuasion backed by irrational reasoning.
