Hi, I'm doing a project that relates to how a bill becomes a law. I'm just a little confused about where the bill originates. I understand that it can come from constituents and the government (I think), but the senators can't make bills that are about taxes. Is that true? Can a bill originate from almost anyone as long as they're Canadian citizens? Or are there certain people that aren't allowed (maybe a member of the government or something)? I'd really appreciate your reply.
