Just a short video of me feeding our Clown Knife fish his usual meal of half a dozen or more of live feeder goldfish. He is almost 18" now in length, and we have had him since he was about four inches long about two years ago.
And to liven it up a bit, I set it to some techno music.

Known as Chitala chitala or Clown Knifefish.
Chitala is a genus of fish in the Notopteridae family. This genus contains 6 species, in which there are important aquaculture and aquarium species. They are commonly known as the Asian knifefishes or featherbacks.

  • My CFK isn't eating...

  • @Asianleful You feed it a lot or very often?

  • @cudaslayer What's the difference lol.

  • @Asianleful Do you feed it a large amount of fish every time you feed it, or do you feed it every day? We usually only feed our's about once or twice a week.

  • @cudaslayer Mine's still pretty small, about 4 inches so I try to get it to eat when ever I can...

  • @Asianleful Really the best advice to get it to grow faster is to keep increasing the size of the prey you are offering it. We had started ours out on baby guppies, then work him up to rosies and then gold fish.

  • chow time :)

  • @iTzFASTER Had our's for about 3-4 years, the trick to growing them fast is to keep giving them larger and larger prey. Like baby guppies at first, and then rosies, and the finally the larger feeder gold fish.

Though one problem with having more than one is that they get territorial as they get bigger and older.

  • You must have a bigger tank!!!

  • @TheHyelife11 how much?where here u located?

  • @MeatfortoeatALT Our's is a 60 gallon, if your local store still has a larger tank than this, I suggest that you get it because Petsmart has pretty much cleared out of their larger sizes and gone for the smaller more popular sizes.

  • @cudaslayer

How big is your tank? I've seen these at Petsmart and was thinking of buying one.
