Ah, this reminds me of all the times at Heathrow just staring out onto the airfield at all the planes and the other terminals, bored, waiting for my flight to board. You are right about United cutting back. They don't even have JFK-LHR direct service. You have to at least go through IAD. But now Continental is part of Star Alliance and they are allowed to fly there.

Being from L.A. - United has a daily non-stop LAX-LHR on the newly refurbished Boeing 777-200 (Very popular BTW). As for New York, Continental is a big player over there - I would like to try their service from NY or Newark to LHR (Someday)...Thanks for your comment. JG

1:18 I didn't realize that United had such a large pressence at LHR. I knew they have directs to JFK,ORD,and LAX

Hi. I wanted to add a comment to your remark. I was quite surprised as well back when I visited LHR. But, now that United has moved to T1 (bmi) I wonder if they still have a large presence as they did in '01. I know UA has cut some flights from their hubs, like here in L.A. (Used to have two daily outbound flights back in 2001, now only one daily flight). Others can add comments as I'm considering a MR in 2010 to keep my Premier (Or, should I do a Frankfurt T/R??) Thanks for your comment. JG
