With US seeking out a negotiation with the Taliban for an exit the question remains what will become of Afghanistan and Pakistan in this endgame. Ayesha Tanzeem in Washington hosts General Richard Myers, a former chairman joint chiefs of staff and an advisor to the US President George W. Bush, Secretary Defence, and the National Security Council. He was joined by Brian Katulis, a senior fellow at the American Centre for Progress overlooking policy towards the Middle East and South Asia. In Islamabad, Waqas Rafique hosted Air Vice Marshall (Retired) Shahzad Chaudhry, and from Lahore via video link, former foreign minister of Pakistan Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali.

India has given Afghanistan about $2 billion for projects including roads, power lines and the construction of the Afghan parliament.It has offered to rebuild the Afghan national airline Ariana, donating Airbus aircraft despite a shortage in its own fleet. Peace initiative in Afghanistan will not be achieved unless pakistan and india resolve their conflict in Kashmir or that there is afghan government in Afghanistan that is more friendlier with Pakistan.

Right now Afghanistan government has closer lies with india than pakistan and that will always hinder any peace process in Afghanistan, thank u
