428R Roush Mustang Beaten by RSX Drag Racing

This is a 428R Roushcharged Mustang, supercharged 4.6L 435hp 400 ft-lbs getting beat by an Acura RSX. I have no idea what was done to the RSX, I never got a chance to talk to the kid. From where I was standing it looked like 428 SC, but its not, I looked closer at the car its a 428R. Needless to say we were a little shocked the RSX took him down, very good drag race though.

I usually make it a point not to aruge in my own videos comments', but that mustang is far from lame. Thats just a pretty stout RSX, I mean 13.5 all motor from a 2.0 Liter is pretty impressive, expecially at this track. It was just funny because I knew nothing about the RSX and I was expecting at least 12's from the supercharged mustang. Its all good, both of the owners of these cars have posted on here (I think) and they seem like cool guys, especially given the commentary lol

so the lesson learned here is: don't take a $40,000+ car to the track until you actually know how to drive it.

So many people look down on these cars just because its a 2.0. Seriously the k20a2 and also the k24's are really nice engines with so much room for potential, and affordable.

I've run a 13.546 in my 03 RSX-S on street tires and stock long block using just 246whp earned through bolt-ons and a decent NA camshaft. Post turbocharging I'm pushing 413whp. I found that I had soo much fun in my FWD and just kept wanting it to be a little faster. Now that it is it behaves like a completely different car. It talks back, becomes unruley, aggressive, scary at times. Compare the cost of a fast car with the cost to make a car fast. You pay one way or the other. Minimal regret...

There is no such thing as a 428SC. The 428R is a supercharged car. I have a 427R, which is the same car without a polished blower, and mine runs 12.4 in the quarter.

Wow. That guy in that Mustang did not know wtf he was doing, either that or (more likely) the RSX was spraying. Then again, You don't exactly want to do a hard launch on a super rare car like a 428R if you want it to retain any value whatsoever. My guess is the guy in the 428 either didn't know what he was doing or was intentionally babying his car to keep from damaging it, in which case he needs to GTFO the track.
