I do this all the time with hardware. you should have clean up all the lip smacking on this video it is obnoxious. Nice tutorial.

hi. triniti.. i tried this using test generator. it didn't work so i tried again using testtone generator. but testtone generator can't be use as plugins in nuendo. so it didn't work again... i wonder if you have use different plugins and procedure in your video of rhythmic mid gating in nuendo.

The test tone gen on my end works I dont know why urs did not work! I had made this Video So long ago I want some ideas so I can make some new ones!

SCREW PRO TOOLS!!! Thank you so much for this! I was trying to figure that out forever. Now I'm trying to see if I can sidechain an effect (like delay) at certain intervals using a "cluttered" track.
BTW you don't have to generate a tone. You can just use the A1 and use it's audio output as the effected part of the sidechain (R). Just remember to start it with a MIDI note first.

Well I suggest using the test tone because its small impact on the cpu and simplicity! U can select the tone based on the tone of the kick where from 30 to 60 hz is normaly where bass lives! and then when you have the tone u need you can just delete it what I do is create several tones as wavs so you dont need ever again to pull up the plugin but rather u have .wav( or AiFF ) files ready to use
