This is a demo of my Lonestar Special with my Seymour Duncan SFX-03 Twin Tube Preamp. I go through both the 30 watt (4 x EL84) and the Single Ended (1 xEL84) 5 watt mode, with and without the pedal. I don't vary my licks much here so you can get the flavor of the amp hearing the same lick. Enjoy! This is a great amp and great pedal. My Strat has a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB Custom Shop Pickup in the Bridge, and two Seymour Duncan Cool Rails in the Middle and Neck.

  • Hey man i have a lonestar special too. I was wondering what you think about the 5y3 rectifier. Should i switch it out with a stronger tube so that it doesn't blow out? Or you think its fine? Let me know... Ive heard of people having problems with this.. Great tone by the way.

  • It's a defect that Mesa is aware of, so if you are under the 5 year warranty (and haven't voided it) they will probably take care of you if anything needs to be done to the amp besides just replacing the 5Y3. Some users have reported using NOS tubes (Like Mullards and such) last longer, I've blown one in almost 2 years.

Keep in mind that if you use the 30 watt setting the 5Y3 isn't even used...I personally like the 15 watt now myself. A new tube is only like 25 bucks at the most, so no biggie

  • You are treadmill, you too buy amp and sell mess. I English and speak badly.

Man thanks to reprobates like you this vid has almost 40K views now.

  • He's a "slob"? He posts multiple videos of himself doing some nice gear demos and playing like a badass and you've posted five clips from a really lousy Australian action movie with strong homoerotic undertones and actors that make Steven Seagal look like Marlon Brando. Congratulations, jerkoff.

  • is small. We kinda figured that.

  • I love my TT Classic. I use a tele for rhythm guitar with an overwound GFS bridge pickup, and the pedal is clean with the rhythm channel gain @ 10 o'clock, volume full, bass @ 11 o'clock, treble @ 1 o'clock. It seems to just about quadruple the signal on the front end of my amp. It turns my PV classic 30 in to a modded 80's Brit-thrash amp without the use of a solid state pedal, and cheaper than "boutique" solid state OD pedals. It's also nice with the gain @ 2 o'clock as a somewhat dirty-boost.

  • please work on your vibrato

  • Hi man, how much does it weight?
