I was under the impression that the whole thing was electric drums. Also, their current drummer seems to have zero problem playing the whole thing with his set.

yes, Jesse used triggers. Does it effect the integrity of the songs where a trigger was used? I don't think so... I mean, it doesn't sound like a damned Dream Theater album, where it is completely cheesy. It's still heavy as shit.
