This is just a little video showing the similarities in how movie critics championed 'The Hurt Locker' over 'Avatar' very similarly to how they championed 'L.A. Confidential' over 'Avatar'. In 1998, though, the movie that the common man preferred won. But in 2010, the elitists finally got their revenge. (Apparently, elitists really like movies that celebrate armed government agents as idols of masculinity, and don't much like movies that choose to celebrate everyday people.)

  • My little pony Friendship is magic is way more emotive than Avatar.

That show handled the cowboys vs indians concept way more better than Cameron's take on it. And Lauren Faust only took her 20 minutes while JC took him 3 hours.

  • Avatar = Pocahontas.

  • Yup. Hurt Locker was trash, and Avatar was awesome. When people talk about Hurt Locker, I can't even believe we watched the same movie.

But one is pro-peace, the other pro-war. Guess who wins?
