And now, I present to you the most popular song from SimTunes: Dinosaur Stomp! The Bugz sounds pan left and right depending on where they are. Unfortunately, HyperCam was not able to capture the visualization animations correctly, for some reason. Instead of changing to match the color of the dot they travel over, they just stay the same color. No matter; the important thing here is the sound.
I used HyperCam, Audacity, Windows Movie Maker, and the Windows XP advanced volume control tool to operate the stereo pan/balance of the Line In channel. This means that I recorded each of the four Bugz separately. Fun stuff!

Information is still the same. This was written, drawn, and created by Benimaru Itoh, the same guy who drew the 1992 Nintendo Power Star Fox comics. Bugz used are Yellow Keys, Ace, Horatio, and Sticks (piano, electric guitar, baritone saxaphone, and drums)

From the SimTunes Gallery Profiles document:
"Benimaru Itoh is a Japanese comic artist. His comics 'Star Fox' ('92-'93) and 'Metroid' ('94), based on Nintendo video games became very popular on Nintendo Power in the United States. He is currently working as an art director of a Nintendo 64 real-time 3-D role-playing game. Benimaru used be a professional guitar player as well, and owns over 250 guitars. He is friends with many musicians, including Ry Cooder and David Lindley."
[Note: I did some research at MobyGames.com, and the only game Benimaru was credited for after 1996 that could match "N64" and "real-time RPG" is "Pokémon Trading Card Game", and I don't even think that's a game. On the same page, he is also credited on Earthbound, Star Fox 64, and Super Smash Bros., plus some more recent stuff.]

  • i wish i could play this game but it wont work on my new pc! :( thanks for the upload though

  • @LoverDino: It runs fine on my Windows XP computer. It should work on Vista and 7 too. Use "run in compatability mode" if you have to. Also make sure that you run it in the right screen resolution (800x600, I think?) and color mode (at least 256 colors, but I'm not sure if you need to change anything there).

  • @dogman15 Oh well :/ Our most used programs are Mavis Beacon and Microsoft Word. We normally use Microsoft word for poems, stories, or something that goes along with what is going on that day. Like earlier today we used Microsoft Word to type a few paragraphs about Christopher Columbus.

  • @TheMisspick: I don't think they make it anymore, and I doubt your teacher would use "old" software.

  • @dogman15 Lol. It sounds interesting. We have been mainly focusing on Mavis Beacon and how the computer works and where the source of our internet is located and all. We might be using Five a Day later on. I am not sure though :/

  • @TheMisspick: FYI, "Five a Day" was a computer game made by Dole (or a game developer Dole hired) intended to teach kids about the five food groups and eating healthily. Bobby Banana was a character. The theme song went something like "Five a day, five a day, let's all eat our five a day!" Another song I remember was "Vitamin C, vitamin C, vitamin C, C, C!" I can't find it anywhere on the Internet.

  • @dogman15 We do use Mavis Beacon a lot actually. Kid pix we use every once in awhile. We normally don't use these programs unless we aren't really doing anything for the day. Microsoft Power Point we use alot to. We have not done anything with Five a day. :)) Also, I am in 6th grade.

Oh yeah, you are a really nice person just to let you know :D

  • @TheMisspick: Aren't you supposed to be learning things, like - oh, I don't know - Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing or something like that? That's what we did when I was in elementary school. That, and "Five a Day", and "Kid Pix", and learning how to use Microsoft Power Point.

(I'm just teasing, by the way :) )

  • @dogman15 Computer lab :)

  • @TheMisspick: What period is it? Recess? Computer lab? Homeroom?
