In Issue #7 of Boomzies we talk about BioWare's new look for the fairer sex in Mass Effect 3. Then we move onto the main topic for the night. In an ever changing world of portable devices, what does the future hold for handheld gaming? More importantly, what does this mean for both Nintendo and Sony's portable offerings?

  • Oh shit I found your justin.tv! You were doing a good job at hiding it, but not good enough!

  • Oh you're right. I should probably make that a little more prominent. Thanks! ^_^

  • ...6 is missing I think...

  • I tell ya, I've tried to get Issue #6 to upload half a dozen times, and every time I get some sort of error or my upload stalls. I don't know what the problem is. It's under the size limit, but for some reason just won't work. :(

  • No no no no angry birds is SHIT and it is not the same FF7 and MGS.

  • I appreciate having a mobile phone becose it allow me to, playing games etc, but I doubt that mobile gaming side will effect the SONY / intendo hand-holding to be a nitch

1.mobil lbiggest problem is that they consume power quickly because of that you have so much tech, so is it quite nice to have a PSP / DS , if you do not want to risk running out of power on the phone, due of e.x amoung of handhold gaming.

2.not everyone has access to a credit card, especially kids.

  • I don't see the point of labeling a game casual or hardcore. It just doesn't matter to me. It's a game. To me, a game should only be classified by whether or not it is fun and by what genre it is (RPG, racing, RTS, action, FPS, etc).

  • I don't think that mobile phones will end portable systems. People will always enjoy one over the other. Some may enjoy phone games over system games. Some may enjoy system games over phone games. It all depends on who you are. Me personally, I enjoy playing portable system games over mobile phone games cause I just find them more fun and I don't have a touch screen phone. I normally stick with whatever games were on my phone when I first got it.
