Time passing to nowhere

Hey, this is an animation I made for class. It isn't actually finished, but knowing my lazy butt I might never finish it, so i'm uploading it as is (plus my after effects 30 day trial ran out).

If I ever do finish it, I was going to animate the kid more, and he chases a bird which would fly with the scene as it moved. I also need to fix the or throw out the lipsyning (was a requirement for the assignment, but I don't like it).

Software: Corel Painter IX, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop CS, Audacity.
