  • Keep fighting. My wife at 38 had breast cancer 2 year ago. She had a double breast removal. She has been cancer free for 2 years. It sucks that you got this. • My prayers are with you. I commend your courage and strength. I have had a pain pump for almost seven years now and am within a few months of getting a battery change. It has changed my life and has taken me out of a wheelchair and given me a great deal of life with my kids. Incidentally, the battery change means that the whole unit is changed out.

  • I understand how you feel, I don't have cancer, I have Multiple Sclerosis and my lumbar spine is shot to hell (completely inoperable). I want you to know I completely agree with you, we do need to find out why young people are getting these diseases. I wish you the best, and you honey sounds great.

Keep fighting, and am looking forward to hearing more from you.

  • I am so touched by your courage, spirit and your love for your family. You truely are an inspiration. We are quite familiar with cancer in our family, and have learned that while it is the worst of diseases...it brings out the best in people. I wish you the best and will be praying for you.

I am researching the pain pump for severe back pain that I've had for years. I appreciate you taking the time to give me information on what to expect.

  • May I ask what kind of pump you had implanted? I had a medtronic synchromed II (baclofen pump) implanted december 2010. Have you had refills yet? If so, do they hurt?
