2009 - vince clarke,andy fletcher,martin gore & daniel miller tell the early depeche mode story. featuring thier first ever sequencer used on the speak & spell album, vince recalling how they used to transport their synths under their arms to the top of the pops studios on the london underground !.martin talking about the early days in basildon and the negative press the band recieved and lots more besides

  • I saw everything counts on MTV in 1983 and I was hooked! I was one of those alienated American youth who walked around wearing eye liner and wanted to be British. Had my own synthesizer too! Depeche Mode got me started on a lifetime romance with electronic/acousmatic music. Then I discovered Einsturzende Neubauten, and the possibilities were endless!
