I saw everything counts on MTV in 1983 and I was hooked! I was one of those alienated American youth who walked around wearing eye liner and wanted to be British. Had my own synthesizer too! Depeche Mode got me started on a lifetime romance with electronic/acousmatic music. Then I discovered Einsturzende Neubauten, and the possibilities were endless!
