  • This was much easier to understand for me . Thank you

  • nice...........

    you rocks!......

  • ...(cont) guard, move to the side of the punch arm then counter strike. Then try the same with blocking either punch with the left hand only. Again, this is when you are caught in range and must act fastest. That is why it is good to practice being able to punch fast with no tel' with either hand (not just the jab) so the opponent also is faced with the decision of which hand will strike, slowing their reaction time. Again, decision adds to reaction time.

But, not all will throw a punch if a person is out of range. If you are in range and either fist may punch, it is difficult to make that split decision of using the left or right hand to block. • Superb rundown on material that can sometimes be very daunting to practitioners new to FMA. Keep up the good work and shoot me a line if you plan being in the Seattle area: you have a place to stay and we can train! johnwinstondarby at gmail dot com

  • Good video. I'll likely watch it several times to see some steps more clearly. I often practice strikes to the arms using my robot arms that punch at real speeds. That gives more of a true feel of how fast one must be to make such strikes. The advantage of attacking arms that attack you is you don't have to get real close and you destroy their attack weapons. You can even attack the arms before they strike out. So many people think of going for the body only.

  • My favorite Filipino martial art..I wish I knew panantukan..i love to combine western boxing with wing chun,& panantukan...
