  • my new fish tank is also cloudy i can see the back but not clearly so what do i need to do ??? fish tank 1

    days standing now

    help pls

  • It may take a few days to clear up. It wont really be settled though until it's finished cycling (several weeks).

  • Did you buy the whole set( aquarium, canopy, lights, stand) from Petsmart? it's a 60 gallon that's 48" x 24" x 12" right?

lol, i saw it at petsmart a few days ago and I'm planning to buy it too. It costs $460 here in Vancouver, BC Canada at the petsmart, how about you?

    Is it really nice?

  • Yeah I got most of my stuff from Petsmart. I really like the setup, I've changed it a little since I posted this video

  • Yeah I have gravel, and have recently added some "river rocks".

I have 2 filters. One is a BIO wheel 350, and the other is a power filter 350, so it's about 700 gph.

It's completely cycled now, and have added a few fish including an angel fish, and some cory catfish.

I may post an update video at some point, but I want to get it fully stocked before I do.

  • i haven't decided what to put in it. Any suggestions would be nice. I kinda want a community tank going after its all cycled. I still have a few weeks though, so any thoughts/comments will help. Thanks!

  • great looking tall tank, the bubbles are sweet going up so high. any new vids?

  • well i mean it depends. generally for me, i usually let the fish get used to the temperature for about 10-15 minutes, then let them in the new tank. but yeah. dont worry, you're entering the world of fish keeping and its great. I have two growing oscar fish and they keep me happy. good luck!

  • I know you keep them in a petsmart plastic bag things and let them float in your tank for a bit, then add water from the tank slowly how long does this all take, but don't get the wrong hint I'm very patient, I just wanted to know as much as I could before I go out and but stuff, then end up killing the poor fish.

  • I was looking at one-two gallons, but that's good for one little fish and they normally get at least 1inch each so once again boring probably due to no interaction. I am not familiar with cycling tanks either, could anyone take the time to explain everything from picking out a fish tank, and some nice fish to placing them in there?

  • maybe six guppies due to the inch of fish per gallon rule, and maybe work my way up to a small goldfish, then maybe a shrimp and a few neon tetras. Im not really sure though about my plan, does anyone more experienced than me have any suggestions. I do know how to keep fish alive, I had a beta for a few months, but he got boring quickly due to fin rot, and not interacting well. Should I maybe start off smaller, and if so what fish is good for a small tank?

  • Hello,

I am very new to aquariums, and I love to watch fish! I really wanted to do saltwater for quite some time, but after my neighbor explained to me what's involved, and looking at some of those prices, I said No! I figured I would start out with a six gallon tank, it has a light and filter built in, and I really dont wanna go larger due to space in my room, but thats about $65.00 I don't know much about fish tanks, and Ill probably start off with a few guppies.

  • ok i see the meal now where are the fish?
