I don't know the history. My understanding, which could be incorrect, was that they were held on land they leased from the Yakima Tribe, but eventually those that were holding it stopped be able to lease the land? I don't know when the races ceased.

I only went once in the early 1970s, but it was memorable.

I used to go to these alot back in the late 70`s, when I lived in Tampico.Anyone know why they stopped having them and when?
