I am a little surprised that a typical opening sequence was left out of this video. Specifically, 1. f4 d5 2. Nf3 Bg4. When trying to play the Bird it is essential that one knows this sequence and how to counteract it. (Especially, don't play 3. g3. Opt for e3 instead.)
the first line is a good example of when white is just doing much better than black. they play c5 a little early and dont reserve options, and then bring the c8 bishop out incorrectly. it should counter the power of the b2 bishop on the long diagonal. queenside castling in that 1st line might have been a good idea as well, as black is rather passivly placed
I like and often use that openning. But the black knight from f6 can easily mess up a few things. AND here in your first example, the white bishop on b5 can be trapped in two moves if it won't hit for the exchange the black nikght. Cheers.

@kingbryananthony For Black to play the "Bird," simply take a look at the Dutch Defense. It is essentially the Bird played as Black.

@Johanitsu Incorrect. If 2...Qh4+, White has 3. g3 and there is no checkmate.

Any main lines were white castles queens side? Also main line for black to play the Bird in some instances?
