@geoman521 Agreed. Can't argue with you there. Very true and honest. Sorry for being so rude, you have bested me here as a gentleman and frankly I'm a little embarrassed. I don't even remember saying all this, I may have been drunk. You're ok by me.
@okcoca although I'm not particular fond of this song (possibly due to the aforementioned local news horns), just because electronic music is (in some cases) easier to make, doesn't mean you shouldn't take it seriously. The bottom line is that electronic music, like all other music, is an expression of creativity (except shitty copy paste pop music).
This sounds like the opening sequence to a local news broadcast from a town with an interstate driven economy OR a public access television program dedicated to discussions on the job market and/or agriculture of that state. I'm assuming this hypothetical state to be roughly orthogonal in its dimensions.
Electronic music is WAY to easy to make for me to take it seriously. This is coming from someone who has made A LOT of electronic music and knows how to DJ as well. Turntables are only an instrument if you posses an IQ below 100. Using sequencers is a skill not a talent. Finally, playing new wave/krautrock style is not really playing keyboard. No chords, no arpeggiation, no knowledge of scales or modes...cute with punk and noise, silly with slick imitation Kraftwerk Bullshit.
