A minimalistic implementation of flocking boids in python and OpenGL. These boids (bird androids) follow four rules.
1: Try to move to the perceived center of the flock
2: Avoid colliding
3: Try to match the perceived velocity of the flock
4: avoid moving outside the defined "world"

  • @magic33de And where's the fun in that? :) This is a programming example showing how complex movement you can have out of a very tiny python script.

  • i noticed you have a lot of nice simple opengl examples. would you mind writing tutorials on how to do some of this, or have any pointers as to where i can go? i'm trying to learn opengl but theres no good documentation out there.
