He's not saying this is from God at all. He's saying that that has become the state of America, where PEOPLE don't want you to be what you are, they want you to fall into the state of "Political Correctness" and "Gender Equality."
Brad is in no way saying God doesn't want you to be what you want, he says the opposite in fact: That God made you who you are and he made you perfectly in his image, but the WORLD is trying to change what is "correct" to be and want to be.
