Billy Bragg (1957-) is a singer/songwriter/musician/political activist from Barking, Essex, England. Mostly regarded as a punk rock musician he incorporates elements of folk and protest songs into his music. He led his first band Riff Raff from 1977-1981. Besides recording solo he has also worked with such artists/acts as Natalie Merchant, Wilco and Less Than Jake.
